Fox? God our manager is bad.

 

You'd think Marmol, but the score is too close for him to come out.

When you're pitching someone who's a 23rd round pick in 1992, you know you're in trouble.

But this is only his 9th season in the bigs!

Freel steals 2nd. He's pretty fast, so basically, a hit and it's 7-3

BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH INNING

 

Marshall in to pitch for the CUBS

Bako doubled to down the right field line

Hairston, pinch hitting for Lincoln, sacrificed, 5-4, Bako to third

Freel grounded an IF single to the catcher , Bako holding third

Griffey popped out to shortstop

Fox in to pitch for the CUBS

Freel stole second base

Phillips struck out swinging

I wish they wouldn't harp on the damn 1st pitch stat. We get it, you don't like it, why keep talking about it?

 

But then again it makes me think that they wouldn't be talking about it if Dusty wasn't the manager. Why else would it be an issue, eh?
