Have Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, John Kruk, Steve Phillips, and Joe Morgan secretly kidnapped and stranded on a remote desert island to live out their lives.

Tell him to let Mark Cuban buy the Cubs.

If so let's see if we can get the schedule changed so we can play the Pirates for the rest of the season. :D

Commissioner Selig does not make the schedule...Katy Feeney deals with schedules. MLB contracts a company which actually puts it together. Last I knew, the company they were working with was out of Pittsburgh. They got the contract about four or five years ago over a company they had been using for years.

Yes, know you were kidding about playing the Pirates the rest of the season but just wanted to get the facts out there.

First name basis story......

I had standing room only tickets for game 3 of the Cubs/Braves '98 NLDS game at Wrigley. Following the game, my friends and I were still in our "seats" standing near the entrance to the press box/suites and Bud Selig walked by. As he walked by, I said "Hey Bud, get rid of the DH," and without missing a beat, he turned around and said "Ok". Unfortunately, he has yet to follow through on his promise to me.

Actually he kept his promise; it's just that he thought when you said "DH" you meant double header. Thus, there are no longer any scheduled double headers, as used to be common. Coincidence? I think not.
