Braun's such a good athlete that I would be shocked if he doesn't learn to play an adequate leftfield.

 

But either way, Laporta is going to be ready soon, and that leaves two spots (left and first) for three people. Someone is going to have to go.

 

The Brewers wouldn't trade anyone to make room, especially Braun or Fielder. If need be, they would move Hart to CF and Braun to RF.

defense is not THAT important.

 

No, but a OF of Braun/Hart/LaPorta could be prodigiously bad. It would give up quite a few runs.

 

If they could get close to equal value in pitching via trade, that would be the way to go, IMO.
