It sounds like he's fine and is supposed to make his next start. He says he knows that he needs to drink more water before starts, but he never seems to do it considering he leaves multiple games a year due to cramping.

It's accurate. The same forearm cramping he gets 2-3 times a year. Apparently for all his talent and money, he still hasn't accumulated enough common sense to drink a damn bottle of water during a start. I don't think he's ever missed a start as a result, though. Fingers crossed.

Haven't we learned not to trust the Cubs' injury reports? I'm prepared to see Zambrano out of the rotation for two months because of this.

Amen. This isn't really an issue of the Cubs "injury reports." Z has had this problem on an off for the last few years. He needs to be drinking more water/sports drinks before and during his starts. Nothing more.

Don't be so naive, guys. "Forearm cramping" in Cubs injury report terminology means "inoperable severe brain tumor", we all know that. His goose is cooked

The Cubs should have put a clause in his new contract requiring him to drink a specified amount of water each game he pitches.
