Here's the 2008 Diamond Mind projections from the Replacement Level Yankees blog.

These have been out for awhile, but here's how they see things stacking up in the NL Central

 

1. Cubs

2. Brewers

3. Reds

4. Cardinals

5. Astros

6. Pirates

 

 

And from his team projections if you follow the link to the second entry,

 

Cubs

Projected W-L: 88-74

Playoff %: 58%

Best Average Projection: ZiPS (93-69)

Worst Average Projection: Diamond Mind (85-77)

Last year's NL Central winners look like the favorites again, whether they get Brian Roberts or not. I'm interested to see how Kosuke Fukudome's game translates to the majors. His projections are all pretty good.

everytime anyone mentions the cubs and projects their season...theriot (the greatest baseball player ever) should ALWAYS be mentioned!

I'm wondering when (and if) the Diamond Mind folks will release their 'official' run? I think ESPN published it last year.

I know it's only ST but the only thing I like about Fukudome's game is his throwing arm. I'm a lot worried that he'll be more like Kaz than Hideki. Time will tell.
