Z looks good. He's had a strong Spring. I just get that feeling that this is the year that Z is going to take it to another level.

One can hope, but he's been down this road before at the beginning of the season.

Spring Training 2005 - 1.35 ERA, 18 K, 5 BB, 1.15 WHIP

April 2005 - 4.34 ERA, 27 K, 12 BB

Spring Training 2006 - 3.79 ERA, 20 K, 4 BB, 1.00 WHIP

April 2006 - 5.35 ERA, 38 K, 25 BB

Spring Training 2007 - 2.61 ERA, 21 K, 6 BB, 1.21 WHIP

April 2007 - 5.77 ERA, 25 K, 19 BB

Was he picked off?

No...The Second baseman dropped the ball on a force out, and Soriano just started to walk away because he thought he was out. The play was right in front of him, and he saw the ball was dropped. I have no idea what he was thinking.

Maybe he thought he dropped the ball on the hand transfer. That's the only thing that would make sense.

Pie badly misplayed that one...he got all twisted up like his injured testicle.

Ha! That was a terrible route.
