Wasn't that the game where lefties could barely hit home runs? Or was it the year before?

that was 2004

and you bat from the pitcher's view? I always hit (and pitch) from the catcher's view

Yes, i was bored...

Wouldn't that be sweet?

--I love it! I think, just like Ichiro, it might take him a while to adjust to MLB pitching. I remember listening to a Spring Training game through WGN radio's website, that day the Cubs were playing the Mariners. In his first at bat against Kerry Wood, Ichiro ended up striking out. Pat Hughes said (or maybe it was Ronnie) that Ichiro was completely over matched in that at bat against Woody.

i think many speculated that Ichiro was purposely hitting poorly in spring training to lull AL pitchers into a false sense of security

Besides, lots of hitters look completely overmatched and foolish against Kerry Wood.

I'll never forget when Fernando Vina swung (maybe struck out on?) at a slider that hit him. That was sexy.

I just did that to make it look better for the sake of putting it on youtube.

When I play for real, I bat from the catcher's POV.

That's so funny. I didn't think anyone still played 2005. I'm in the year 2015 and the Cubs are going on their eleventh straight WS championship. The only player left from 2005 is Miggy Cabrerra (I traded Wood for him and Florida traded Wood to NYY for Phil Hughes and Dioner Navarro).

Anyway, I pitch from the center field view and bat from the batters eye.

I'm pathetic, but I still love that game. It is the only game I really play any more on the PS2.

has anyone put out updated rosters for the ps2?

I liked playing MLB07 The Show, but it doesn't have the long term playability of MVP 05.

I think some places you can get them to send you a memory card with updated rosters. Never looked though because I downloaded the PC version and goto mvpmods

maybe one day mvp 2005 will be backwards compatible on the 360 and i can play again.

I've been playing it on Wii lately since they can play gamecube games.
