I don't recall it being mentioned here, but a documentary DVD about Harry (narrated by Pat Hughes) was released this year. I believe it was originally produced for PBS, but the DVD has expanded interviews with several people as bonus material. The best price I found was $13.75 (free shipping) from deepdiscount.com. There's a web site about the DVD. Edited by NCCubFan

It was a decent documentary. However, if you're looking for a lot of vintage Harry, you're going to be disappointed. It's much more heavy on interviews with Harry's contemporaries and friends.

I wasn't a huge fan of the documentary. The lighting for some of the interviews was horrible. Overall, it's a good watch and brings back great memories, but not exactly worth the $20 I spent at Harry's restaurant for it.

Hahaha, come on, that jacket is worth the huge avatar, at least for a couple days.

The jacket is beyond awesome my friends. Bruce Pearl might be my favorite coach in all of sports.

Welcome to the forum by the way, Bruce. You from Tennessee?

I also discovered that there is a book about Harry just released. The book is by Pat Hughes and Bruce Miles and includes a CD with some of Harry's calls. This apparently is the book Pat was talking about on one of the Cubs' telecasts this year when talking about his Baseball Voices CD series.

Thanks for the link. I had a great deal of fun working on the book with Pat. If you buy it, I hope you enjoy.

Yes, I am from Tennessee and I am a sophomore at the University of Tennessee. My family and I were in Cincinnati when we we clinched, and we had NLCS tickets that we were forced to sell away...

Oh well, I still love my Cubs and I'm glad to be a part of this board.

I do plan to buy it, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
