Am I the only person that gets visibly upset when the Thome clip is shown?

No offense to JI

JIM THOME, but the Sox were long gone at that point, and Hawk's outlandish home run call just ruins it for me. I know it won an extra-inning game or whatever, but the call and the celebration just seemed over the top.

several of those aren't moments

welcome to the wonderful world of ESPN

EDIT: to be fair, the highlights did show most of them as "moments" (ie showing the milestone HR's, showing the final outs of the Mets/Phillies final games, etc.)

I'd swap #5 and #7, just because it's going to be leaps and bounds more difficult for a pitcher to win 300 games nowadays than for a hitter to swat 500 homeruns. Granted Sosa's reached 600 and A-Rod was the youngest/fastest to reach 500, so those are extra special. However in the future, hitting milestones will be more commonplace than pitching ones IMO.

I was bored, so I tried to compile a list of the Cubs top 10 "moments" from 2007.

1) Ramirez's walk off homer

2) Soriano's walkoff single against the Rockies

3) Wild pitch to give Cubs tie for first

4) DeRosa's walkoff

5) Lou's tirade

6) Double play to end the game at Houston

7) Kevin Mench grounding out with the bases loaded to end the game and give the Cubs 2 out of 3

8) Felix Pie nails Russell Branyan out at home in his first ever game.

9) Sam Fuld's catch/double play

10) Soriano's 3-HR game

What about the Ward walk-off? First one of the season.

Len's call for that game was amazing.
