BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH INNING

 

Howry in to pitch for the CUBS

Burke, pinch hitting for Moehler, popped out (foul) to first base

Pence singled to center field

Biggio singled to left field , Pence out at third, 7-5

Berkman grounded an IF single to the pitcher , Biggio to second

C Lee flied out to right center field

 

0 runs 3 hits 0 errors 2 men left on base

That looked a lot better off the bat

 

My initial thought that it was gone in right field. I judged it incredibly poorly.

Were all three games Dempster's fault?

 

Depends on your definition of fault. I wouldn't say last night's game was Dempster's fault, but he did take a loss.

I was just wondering. Also, we did not lead after 8 innings yesterday. The Dodgers game was his fault though.
