I dunno about you all, but the thing I lose track of most when involved in a two or three team divisional race is where we stand in the loss column with respect to the wild card. I think it is worth keeping an eye on.

 

As of today we are two back of The Fathers in the loss column (we have 59 losses):

The problem is 3 of the 5 teams in front are in the same division, meaning they probably play each other quite a bit more, and while someone has to lose those games, someone has to win them as well.

 

The Cubs job should be to keep winning and let that be the Cards and Brewers problem.

If the Cubs have a good enough record to win the wildcard, they would win the division easily. The wildcard race means nothing to us.

 

Yeah, if the Cubs have a good enough record to win the WC, then they win the division, making the WC irrelavent

I agree. Lets just hope they both continue to struggle. If we win 3/4 from the Cards I will be thrilled because we pushed them to a safe distance away from us.
