I'm shocked by it too. He's likely going to be overmatched unless he's matured that much since last year. If he plays everyday vs. RH'ers, it'll be interesting to see how he does once they figure him out. Once he got to two strikes, the RH'ed slider just put him away everytime. Hopefully, he has learned to lay off of them out of the zone.

 

Like I said in the past, I still haven't seen a MWL player that had a higher ceiling than him (Patterson, Pujols, Mauer, Dopirak, Fielder, Bruce, Upton, etc)

I wasn't too surprised by Upton, but I figured Maybin wouldn't crack the big league club until next year..Regardless, he is going to be really fun to watch. Can't wait to see who has better numbers with regular playing time, Maybin or Upton...It's damn close to a coin flip.
