Is Lou really going to use Zambrano as a PH more often?

Honestly he's a good hitting pitcher but nowhere close to being a good hitter.

I'd rather him PH Marquis if he's going to PH a pitch.

 

Main reason being that Marquis is a better hitter and Z just swings for the fences.

 

Secondary reason being that I'd rather that risk of injury go to Marquis than Z.

I doubt he'll use him that often. He's only done it 3 times this year-2 were in extra innings, and the other day was because he had a very short bench. Definitely when it comes to September and the playoffs (when there are more players on the bench) I doubt he ever pinch hits.

As a last line of defense, or offense in this case, maybe. As for Thursdays game that made no sense at all when you had a fully stocked bench and an 8 or 9 run lead. Sure, it was harmless in the end, but how would Lou have looked if Carlos decided to break another bat over his knee and fractured his knee cap? Not too good Im thinking. But then again, using Marmol and Howry with an 8 run lead didnt make much sense either.

Lou did it causee I drrove 8 hrs to watch them play and really wanted to see Z and Wood. My family who was with me asked why Z pinch hit and I had no clue. Not that I was disappointed mind you.
