please, for the love of god lou, bring up soto now

please

Kendall has not been our problem of late....

Now that we won't be seeing Reyes and Castillo at the top of the line up it will be even less of an issue...

I'm not going to complain when someone has a .957 OPS over his last 9 games, but it sure would be nice to see him throw one of the 19 baserunners that have attempted a stolen base on him since he came to the team.

How many of those didn't even get a throw? Half? Cubs pitchers are doing a terrible job holding runners.

Win this game, win the next game win the following game. Sweep is the must vs the Astros we've done it twice already lets make it 3 times boys because we need it.

Was it really necessary for you to take a shot at Vance?

Personally, I would never pass up a chance to take a shot at Vance.... especially when he's in Houston and can't defend himself. But... that's just me.

With Sori injured there is no excuse now for Murton not to play everyday in LF until he gets back.

Unless Epatt plays there. He just got called up.

Oh he did? How was he doing in AAA? Not that I hate Epatt but man if they keep avoid giving Murton a chance I am going to explode.

As a leadoff guy, he did really well...

First Wood last night and now we may well see a Patterson in the lineup.

Lets do the time warp agaaaaaaain.

This should be the line-up if Epatt plays. .

Theroit SS

Patterson 2B

Lee 1B

Ramirez 3B

Derosa RF

Jones CF

Murton LF

Kendall C

P

If we brought him up b/c he has leadoff experience, he should lead off.

Why? Why take a leadoff hitter and bat him second, and take the second place hitter and bat him leadoff?

Whenever Lou jumbles the line-up, it usually works. His Dugout Dice hand is a lot luckier than our managers past.

It is pathetic that the organization may have based the choice of who to promote to the majors on who had "leadoff experience." Just bring up the best hitter at an available position, or let Murton take over LF. This might work out, but it is still stupid.

I get what you are saying but Patterson deserves to be up here... then again... so does pie and soto.

BTW Lou will Start Murton, Murton owes Wandy.

Because Patterson has more power than Theroit. But Patt/Roit is fine also.

Deserving to be up here is relative. Compared to either Pie or Soto, he doesn't. I'm not sure his numbers in the PCL really warrant a callup regardless of what Pie and Soto are doing, however.

Perhaps I dont understand what you mean. You dont think .299 14hr 62 rbis .360 obp and an .830 ops is not deserving, regardless of what pie or soto are doing?

I don't think Patterson will play much if any 2B with both DeRo and Fontenot. I'm thinking they will stick him in the OF; my first guess was LF. FWIW, Steve Stone seems to think that he will play CF.

I think he's probably saying what I was thinking, Everyone is hitting in the PCL and everyone on Iowa has like a Plus 800 OPS, so maybe those numbers are a bit misleading and he doesn't expect patterson to outperform theriot/derosa/murton (which I don't either)

I would honestly go pretty much every game Soriano is out *assuming pie doesn't come up at some point really soon with.

1. theriot ss

2. murton lf

3. lee 1b

4. ramirez 3b

5. derosa 2b

6. floyd rf

7 jones/pagan cf

8. kendall/hill

9. pitcher

It's deserving, I guess, it's just those numbers aren't all that impressive in the PCL. There's quite a few guys OPSing similarly to E-Patt. When you couple this with the fact that he'll probably be playing outfield in the bigs, his numbers don't look all that impressive.
