Buddy Bell to resign as Royals' manager

Buddy Bell resigned as the Kansas City Royals' manager, effective at the end of the season.

He is going to take an executive role after this season ends. I thought they were playing much better ball as of late.

I like Buddy as a person, but he can't really manage worth a darn. He's a poor man Dusty Baker.

 

That being said, something tells me that this is more of a personal health related. Remember, he did had surgery last year to remove cancer from his throat, I believe.

Indeed. In fact, their 2nd straight winning month (June and July). Last time that happened was in 2003.
