That's why you got sent down to AAA, Ronny. Don't swing at the first pitch when the pitcher has walked two hitters in the inning.

Soriano did the same thing we sending him to AAA?

maybe just a slight difference in talent level.

I understand that but I dont here anybody else saying Soriano was stupid for swinging. You cant have it both ways

Soriano was stupid for swinging at the first pitch. Happy?

But that doesn't mean we should send Soriano down to AAA.

And clearly I was being serious about that. Sorianos plate approach(if you cant even call it that) is a freaking joke.

It's funny that we're fighting over the intelligence of Cedeno and Soriano. It's pretty obvious that neither one of them are signing up for Mensa anytime soon.

Of course you can. Talented players always get more leeway in sports.

That is how it works.

Uh, so Soriano wasn't stupid for swinging at the first pitch? He certainly was in my mind. Actually, I've constantly said Soriano has one of the worst plate approaches I've ever seen. Doesn't make him not good, but he certainly doesn't have much of a baseball IQ.

But that isn't the argument..the argument is calling for a player to be sent to AAA. You are not going to send Sori to AAA, however, Cedeno will be in DesMoine shorly if he does get his head out of his arse.

Cedeno is brutal. He looks and seems lost out there.

Even thought they both swung and the first pitch, there is no comparison. One out and the guys has walked 2 of 3 guys, you need to try to get a rally going.

Soriano that is part of his game, often hoping to take the first pitch yard, and often successful at it.

And yet, as ballplayers, they'll net eleventy billion times this entire board's lifetime salaries.

Life is so not fair.

Cedeno's skills aside, I don't think we can send him down, realistically. Who else is going to take that role on the team? The only adequate shortstop on the team is Theirot and he needs some days off.

It doesn't seem like Cedeno has learned much since going down. He's still swinging at everything and not taking a good approach at the plate.

Well at least we get good Wuertz tonight.

Wuertz is almost always good.

When hes throwing strikes yes, but he does have a tendency to get a little wild. Dont take that as I hate Wuertz, because I like his arm alot.
