How is Rabbitt Maranville in the HOF with a career line of .258/.318/.340????

 

Yes I actually looked that up.

 

Where did that come from?

 

FSMW put up a list of Hall of Famers who have played for both the Cubs and Cardinals.

 

He was on it.

 

Well, you have to remeber it was the dead ball era. And he did set some sort of record for games played by a shortstop if I remember correctly. Other than that, I'm not sure. He must have been a defensive stud.

if i had a nickel for every time a cubs player hit a long drive off the wall or the warning track. they just aren't going out this year.

it would be nice if we could hit one of those some time. i can't really remember who hit the last one. they're becoming so rare you'd think i'd be able to count them easily enough.
