i predict iowa will have a worse night offensively than they did tonight

I don't know. There may be another big bat coming up to Iowa soon...

Who :?:

Posted
Matt Craig?

His name just showed up on the I-Cubs roster, so I think we have a winner.

I assume he'll be replacing Nelson at 3rd?

Simokaitis is listed on Iowa's roster as well. Replacing Rojas at SS?

Nice. It's not like the I-Cubs need anymore help offensively lol. Now they should be able to give the big league club a run for their money.

I'm assuming Craig will take over at 1B and let Kroeger go back to the OF. Moore is back to play 3B.

How would you like to pitch to

1B Craig .931

2B Patterson .855

3B Moore .890

OF Pie 1.017

OF Murton .979

OF Kroeger .938

C Soto 1.017

And Craig's numbers are from the SL where OPS averages about .050 less than PCL

And Cedeno's .900+ OPS at SS just got promoted. Staggering.

Is the pitching way down in PCL or is this normal?

Then where is Coats going to play? Are him and Kroeger going to platoon in LF? They're both lefties though. Moore's also a lefty and Craig's a switch hitter.

Alan Rick hit his 1st HR with Tennessee to give the Smokies a 1-0 lead early. Holliman cruised through the first 4 innings but ran into some trouble in the 5th as Carolina now leads Tennessee 2-1 in the bottom of the 5th. Holliman's line thus far: 5 IP, 4 hits, 2 runs, 5 K's/1 BB.

Nice to see CF Colvin 2 for 2 with a single, a double and a walk so far for Tenn. Holiman's 2 for 2 offensively and going strong through 7. Hopefully someone can pull through for them. Edited by rabidawg900

Salas was the PH for Holliman and singled to leadoff the 7th. Holliman's final line: 7 IP, 4 hits, 2 runs, 5 K's/1 BB.

Tennessee wins 3-2! Fuld doubled after the Salas single and Spearman followed that up with another double, which drove both of them in for the win.

Congrats to Fuld for finally pulling through in this game.

The Peoria lineup cracks me up:

CF Johnson

SS Barney

RF Adduci

C Blanco

What power they have in the cleanup spot!

Edit: BTW Blanco just got thrown out by the RF running from 1st to 3rd on an error by the 1B.

Peoria up 4-0 in the 6th against the mini-Reds. I really like the 1-2 punch of CF Johnson and SS Barney in that lineup. Blanco finishes 1 for 2 with a BB.

EDIT: Kerry Wood's warming up in the bullpen!
