Our catchers are atrocious. Do we have the worst catching combo (offensive-wise) in MLB?

 

how many catchers in MLB are considered an actual offensive threat?

 

Pudge?

Jorge Posada

Russell Martin

Joe Mauer

Brian McCann

Kenji Johjima

(to some extent now) Pudge

 

But most teams have catchers who aren't a complete black hole on offense.

 

i'll give you Mauer, but none of the others are offensive threats imho...

I think they were trying to steal 2nd and got it and then Mench bolted when they threw to the SS but he got tossed out at the plate.

probably a delayed steal... runner at first takes off for second, when catcher throws to second the runner at third goes home.

For some reason they sent Fielder to second but by the time the throw got to second Fielder was about halfway there so Mench took off for home and was out pretty easily.
