The thing about the Brewers is I can't bring myself to despise them as much as the Cardinals or the Astros.......... I guess I can learn by the end of the season though

I totally agree with this sentiment. The Brewers have been kicked around for so long, it doesn't feel all bad to see them have some things start to work out for them. I'd be totally fine with the Brew Crew winning the NL wildcard.

I don't think I can ever derive the same amount of acrimony for Prince Fielder or Ben Sheets as I have over the years for other rivals' stars, like Jim Edmonds, Eckstein, Biggio, Bagwell (mainly just his stupid stance) or especially Clemens when he was with the Stro's. I think the only Brewer I really dislike is Jenkins, seems that he's done well against the Cubs. I'm not sure where to look up a players lifetime stats against a particular team though.

edit: Corey Hart's a bee-atch.

For years I hated the brewers, and in particular, Jeromy Burnitz. He ruined my first two trips to wrigley hitting something like 3 long homers in the course of those two games. Burnitz, for that, was my most hated player in baseball for quite a while...then he went and replaced sammy.

Ugh.

Initial word is a blister for Sheets though you know how iffy those initial words can be.

Brewers TV is saying it looks worse than a blister; like a problem near the knuckle.

I can't bring myself to hate their announcers either - I can't help it I like Bob Uecker. The Astros and Cards announcers on the other hand............ Milo Hamilton makes my skin crawl

Anyone know how long this Extra Innings free preview is going to be going on? This is good stuff.

I think it's for a week or two. I order it so I can watch the Cubs, seeing as I live in South Carolina, but I also enjoy watching other teams play, and hearing their announcers.

Living in Wisconsin taught me that a lot of people there really don't care about the Brewers. The average Wisconsin person seemed to have the following rooting interests while I was there from 2002 to 2006...

1) Green Bay Packers

...

...

...

2) University of Wisconsin football

...

3) University of Wisconsin basketball

4) University of Wisconsin hockey

5) Marquette basketball

6) Milwaukee Brewers

7) Milwaukee Bucks

It's kind of funny how many Brewer fans have come out of the woodwork over the past two years, though. All of those friends I made suddenly have crisp new Brewer caps...hmmmmmmmm...

Oddly enough the Brewers radio guy just said this is only the 13th sellout of the year for the Brewers.................that would kind of confirm what you are saying

Sounds like Gwynn just missed one

Yeah, he put it on the warning track. He hit it well. I think I would have [expletive] myself if Tony Gwynn Jr. would have actually hit it out.

Jorge Julio scares me. Just one inning please.

I'm willing to bet almost all (if not all) of the others have been Cubs, Cardinals, and Twins games.

Distal finger strain for Sheets, whatever that is.

They are saying on the radio that if the symptoms continue he will get an MRI on Monday
