Hate to post this again but Sean not starting tonight, can't say anything else at this time.........

Aww, you can tell us. I'm sure there won't be any consequences!! ;)

I hope someone (Petrick / Marmol) isn't hurt ...

It doesn't seem like this is a move that needs to be made because the bullpen has been used up.

The Cubs have frequently indicated that they want to carry 12 pitchers, and they currently have 11. So I don't think that calling up another pitcher (if that's what Mr. Gallagher was hinting at; I don't want to put words in his mouth :D ) necessarily means that it is to replace another pitcher. Maybe it means bye bye Jones or Izturis.

So I guess this does not need to be posted in transactions?

There's no transaction to report yet; just our speculation. All that we know factually is that he isn't starting for Iowa tonight as originally scheduled. The rest is us inferring the reason.

That hasn't stopped anyone before.

In Sean's place, Randy Wells is starting for Iowa.

I hope to wake up in the morning seeing that Jones and Izturis have been traded, Koyie Hill has been sent to Iowa, and Cedeno, Soto, and Sean are on their way to DC. :D

Soto and Cedeno are both playing tonight, so it looks like it may just be Sean. BTW I hope he is getting called up and not traded.

I see Harvey is right back to his old ways. The Cubs might as well convert him to pitcher already.

They should just let him get his starts and innings in AAA instead of bringing him up and down. Assuming Hendry finally found an acceptable deal for Jones and he is taking that spot he would still most likely go back down right after the all star break when Dempster is re-activated. Petrick looks like a keeper and is more suited for a long term role as a reliever.
