Would it be wise for Derrek to just drop the appeal and sit out the Nats/Pirates games?

 

If Lee drops the appeal he has to sit out five games. With the appeal, he may have it reduced to four or three. I know the Nats/Pirates have been bad and teams we should beat, but I wouldn't go automatically marking a bunch of "W's" with our without Lee.

Is there a big difference between them and the Astros though? the Giants? the Cardinals? the Reds? Those are 4 of the first 5 teams the Cubs play after the break, and I really don't think the Nats/Pirates are much if any worse than those teams.

Lee is expected to have his hearing regarding his suspension after the All-Star break. It was originally scheduled for Monday, but now has been pushed back.
