This game is flat out embarrasing. The cubs got into a brawl yesterday, and now SD can say "yeah they took a swing at our guy yesterday and we came back and kicked their ass the next day"

 

I hate games like this.

I wanted to win this series but, obviously, yesterday was the swing game. This game is a mess.

 

I expected the Cubs to go 3-3 against the Mariners and Padres, and I guess I am satisfied with that with a stretch of really easy schedule coming up. These are two good teams, especially the Padres, and splitting the two series isn't bad. What I wasn't expecting was for the Brewers to magically break out of their slump to beat two solid ALC teams. I thought we were at least going to stay even with them.

Other than Verlander, they faced really bad pitchers. They should have swept the Twins but Suppan got out pitched by, essentially, a AA guy.

Didn't he have two in one game at Wrigley last season?

He has 15 homer power but it seems like he's on a higher pace this season.

That's how it works sometimes. The Padres have had our number for a while. Anyway, I'm hoping things are easier in TX.
