Did anyone else see this last night?

Two things...

1) He really does not look very impressive. They talked about how bad his control was and every shot they showed was of him throwing the ball in the dirt (or to the backstop) and the batter slowly trotting to 1st on ball 4.

2) He has a very immature personality it seems. Playing pro ball is gonna be a major adjustment for him. Most top athletes have been through some of the rigors of being "scouted and talked about" for a few years. He seems clueless.

and a bonus 3) Quote from Sportsnite..."The great athletic tradition at Kaneland". Huh? Where is Kaneland even? I looked up their record...18-14 (11-10) in a terrible baseball conference (Geneva, Batavia, Glenbard South, Sycamore, Dekalb, Yorkville, etc.) And I think they said he was 6-2.

And mine. But he's right. It's an awful conference and DeKalb won something like 5 or 6 games the whole season.

The night of the draft Sportsnight had him on and he said he turned down 9 teams wanting to draft him because they wouldn't pay him the money he "deserves". I will definitely agree with the immature comment.
