He's starting on Friday, and I picked him up. I'm not 100% sold on him yet, and he's starting against the Indians. Do I start him, or just keep him on the bench until he proves himself?

I recognize the wisdom in what you say, and concede that it is probably the right idea. Now I will proceed to ignore it, and go ahead and start him anyway, because I'm that kind of stupid.

I started Hughes on his first day. As well as Miller. only reason I would do it is because I need a boost in a certain category that I hope they can come in and give a jump start in. Like If I'm tied in wins, down by a few in K's, or very close in ERA/WHIP, I'll start a first time hoping he dominates and puts me over the top. If I'm losing my ass, then I'll start him anyway, if I'm winning by a lot, I bench him in case he sucks so bad it really screws up your pitching for that week
