threads posted in being "marked?"

For some reason I feel like this has been discussed before but I couldn't find the thread. Is it possible in any way for little piece of paper next to thread links to be marked if a poster has posted in that thread?? I've seen this feature on many other forums, and I think it's really nice, because sometimes it is hard to remember which threads you made posts in and whatnot. For instance, this is what it is like on the Smashing Pumpkins forum I post on:

I've looked for a board mod for that and haven't found one. However, I'll be installing phpbb 3.0 one of these days once it goes "gold". It's possible that feature will be part of the new version.

 

Preview of new look. I won't have the same graphic on top, but that will be the general look of the new board.

Will you be able to make it wider for those of us viewing in 'big screen'? Narrow fora in the centre of browsers grate on me a bit.

Me, too. I believe there is flexibility in that. if not, I'm quite positive there will be other templates for use soon.

Thanks for the prompt response. I realise there's far bigger fish to fry in getting a new 'build' (is that the right word?) of forum up, but it was the first thing I noticed about it.
