people were excusing Izturis' inclusion in lineups because Theriot started 9 straight games. Hasn't he now NOT started like 5 straight?

Yeah, I was talking "good" interesting. But that is a good point about the bullpen. Lou is just NOT happy unless he's mixing things up I guess.

Theriot hasn't been great this year though-and not very good lately (5 for his last 30 with 2 BB's). In fact, he has only been marginally better than Izturis so far this year.

But it's not all about stats. Theriot brings other intangible and will likely only get better with the experience at this level, where I doubt Iz gives a hoot about that.

He started the series finale against SD. He batted 8th.

No-this would be 3 out of his last 4 he hasn't started. Since May 2nd though, Theriot has dropped 90 points in OPS-maybe Izturis shouldn't be in there, but Theriot isn't exactly much of an improvement. I wouldn't mind if Theriot was in there whatsoever, but the middle IF so far is DeRosa>>>>>Theriot>Izturis.

As mentioned already, Theriot has not been doing well lately, while Izturis has.

Boy, if Will Ohman could pitch as well as he could make funny, we'd be all set.
