Huston Street to DL

The Oakland A's today placed right-handed pitcher Huston Street on the 15-day Disabled List retroactive to May 13 with an irritation in his right ulnar nerve. To take his spot on the roster the A's have selected right-handed pitcher Connor Robertson from Triple-A Sacramento.

 

Street was 2-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 18 relief appearances and has recorded all nine of the A's saves this year. He had allowed just two runs over his last 13 outings for a 1.35 ERA and has not allowed a run in 15 of his 18 outings this year. This is Street's second career stint on the DL as he was also on the DL last year from August 19 to September 8.

Street's on my team and this is actually okay news for my team. King Felix was on my DL and I didn't go to make a move to drop a player in time so when I went to do it this morning, it wouldn't take effect until Wednesday. Since Street is DL eligible now, I can start Felix tonight, and buy myself an extra 15 days on my roster move.

The way Beane goes through managers, even winning managers, it's pretty apparent that he pulls the strings in the entire organization.

 

Or does he just to get to pin all of the blame on the managers for things going wrong, while receiving all the credit when things go right?
