That bunt attempt was a terribly desperate move. I actually felt bad for the guy.

I feel worse for the fans that have to watch this waste of space on their teams roster

Exactly what I was thinking.

 

Actually, considering the situation we were in it wasn't a horrible move. Izturis lacks even the gap power required to bring Barrett home from first. The best thing he could have done would be to increase run expectancy for the next inning, which would be best served by getting the pitcher's spot out of the way during the current inning. In that case, I'd say "by any means necessary"

ha ha ha. Pirate broadcaster: "Jack Wilson has been the most consistent offensive player all year". YIKES

 

Maybe that's in the same sense that Cesar has been our most consistent offensive player. He's been consistently terrible.
