Seeing as Edwin Encarnacion was just demoted to AAA, anyone interested in trading a third baseman?

I could possibly make Rolen available.

After overnight deductions I have a 22.55 point lead plus a one pitching start advantage remaining. Looks like the last unbeaten team in the league is going down. \:D/

The rest of the East can thank me any time. :D

Ugh, awful start for CC.

I'm up on Tim by 32.6 and each of us have two starters left for the weekend (Tim has Lerew and Oswalt, I have Beckett and Oliver Perez).

Yeah, My 2 starts from Harang and Z did me in. And F'in Washburn decides he's going to shut-out the YANKEES.

Giambi's apparently so much of a gimp that he can't even DH.

I need someone to come up HUGE tomorrow.

Maybe Wandy pitches a no-no!

It could have been worse. Washburn could have pitched the 9th and got a complete game and shutout (he didn't get credit for a shutout in Roadkill because he didn't finish the game) and Webb could have pitched a shutout (the only run he gave up ame on the second out in the 9th). So I nearly had two complete game shutouts.

Two of our pitchers (Rodriguez and Davis) go head to head against each other tonight. Your one hope is that you need to pray for something like a 15-0 Astros win. You also need to hope for Reyes to stink, but that's certainly within the realm of possibility; he's done that a few times. So I'd say things look bleak, but not completely hopeless, for you.

Dye and Atkins are coming up huge this week in a match that we really need to win.

27 point lead and in my final start for the week. The lead will have to hold with Snell going tomorrow. Hold on, boys.

Bye bye Aram.. Hated to get rid of him, but with my 0-5 start, starting to build for the future can't hurt me.

Chavez still on the block?

Good to see Carmona come back strong after a shaky start. 41 point lead down 1 start to 0 but I have three position players left with games today.

What do you guys think of that trade? I think I finally may have gotten raped looking at it again. I haven't had a trade work out bad for me in at least 3 years. I've gotten the good end of them, but looking at this makes me worry big time.

Depends on whether or not Gordon pans out.

That's what I'm worried about, but I know I shouldn't be. He's going to be amazing, or so I hope.

If you're really banking on the future, you could be setting yourself up for good times. Although it's never a sure bet, Gordon and Garza have plenty of potential. Getting them exempt for a couple of years could be a good thing. At the same time, Tim gets a 3B that can produce now and a good prospect in return.

i wondered how long it was going to take before tim cracked and started selling off his prized prospects.

Good god.. if or may I say WHEN Gordon does pan out, I'll be stacked with a young team. My minors are better than they ever have been too.

Yeah, I saw that on Washburn. I had the game well in hand until Z and Harang pitched. I think they scored a total of 12 pts for those two starts. I've also been plaqued with non-DL injuries this week at 1B and 2B. Giles and Giambi have combined for 5.25 pts this week counting tonights games thus far. And Giles may not play on Sunday!

I may actually need a no-no from Wandy to win. Or I'd take an emaculate-Washburn from him too.

Maybe a Astros will pitch a no-no and score 15 runs with Berkman accounting for all 15 RBI. Now that would be sweet. I might win then.

On the other hand, if I win 5 out of every 6 the rest of the way I'll be pretty happy.

over the past few weeks myers has been one of the best relievers in the game. still not worth a first round pick, but it's better than him pitching in middle relief.

Pretty good balance for my team this week between the offense and the pitching. Considering past weeks in pitching, I'm content with 140 this week. However, after patching starts in to get my 7, I have 4 pitchers scheduled for 2 starts next week.

Wow, not a bad game for Oliver Perez.

Hmmm, maybe my pitching doesn't suck as bad as I was thinking. I'm currently 4th in the league in total pitching points (abuck is 1st). However, I'm last in the league in offense. :(

and i'm willing to trade some of that first place pitching for a 2b or 3b.

Want Biggio?

The problem here is that I obviously need offense more than pitching. Howevre, I do have a pair of 2B. Feel free to offer me a closer for him.
