I bought one and I still have not decided if I like it or not. Did anyone else have a problem with sizing? I found all the sizes to run way larger then the old hats, plus they don't shrink so I really don't know what size i wear in the new hat. I have always worn a 7 1/2 but I found myself trying on 7 1/8 to 7 3/8....

I bought it today. I have always worn a 7 5/8. I ended up buying a 7 1/2 and its still a little big on me. I like the feel of the hat, but the sizing is aggravating.

Whenever I got a new 5950, I'd have to get a 7 1/2 because it was going to shrink. When I first got it, though, it was way too big, so it took a month or two of waiting for it to shrink to the right size...before it would eventually shrink to be too small. I'd imagine everyone will have to go at least one size smaller than they were used to with the wool hats.

I bought 7 3/8 and its still a bit big, not the tight fit I like. I look like embarrassing Polish version of KFed when I wear my hat so I hope it shrinks a little bit. Anyone try soaking their hat yet??? Edited by mordecaibrown

Huh?
Official hats are no longer made of wool. Starting this year they are made of this "wic" material. Basically the same technology as underarmour, it pulls the sweat away from you and such.

I plan to as soon as I get up to Chicago next week, if they are out in stores. I did get one of those new BP hats that they have been wearing this Spring, and I like it a lot. Love the wick-stuff.

Stretch fit is the way to go for me. I've boguht 2 59/50 hats in the past over the span of a year because they shrunk after wearing them, and I bought them a little bigger than my head actually is.

The stretch fits rule.

i dont have one of the new 5950s yet but i got one of the new BP hats and i had to get one size smaller in that. if they have messed with the sizing on this years hat i hope they at least make it consistent. in previous years ive had problems with the same size hats fitting way different.

Oh, like polypropylene shirts. Neat.

I think the differences between hats of the same size comes from the way they were stored before you bought them. If they are kept in a warm place with even moderate humidity they will shrink if left there long enough. That's just the nature of the beast with wool. I kept some of mine in a closet that always got warm on hot summer days -- shrunk them all. I am pretty sure they come out of New Era's factory true-to-size because they use a pretty exacting process in making those caps.

Sorry if my response seems a bit overly detailed. I am something of a 5950 buff with 20+ in my collection at present. I hope the claims are correct that the new ones don't shrink. That's the only thing I never liked about the wool ones

you could very well have a point about that. im not sure. the thing that led me to believe it was the way theyre made is i also have seen caps with the bill sewn on lopsided and some of the logos not on straight. youd think that with them being hand made you wouldnt run into these problems.

I'm selling them on eBay for $64.99 plus $9.50 shipping. I've sold quite a few and everyone seems to like them.

BTW, I'd give anyone here at NSBB $5 off on one at my site. (I'll even do that for those of you that are fans of another team as well. I carry all teams.)

Just ordered one from you, brah! I didn't see a size on the order though. Hey, how quick can you get it to me? I am leaving for Chicago on Sunday, and would love to wear my new jersey to the game. Is the sizing S, M, L, XL, XXL - or 44, 48, etc?

I want an XXL or 52. Tell me the easiest way to connect that with my order.

It's sized M, L, XL, XXL, and XXXL. My shipping charge is for UPS 2-5 day shipping. PM me and I'll work out something for 2 day business shipping if you would prefer.

Mine arrived yesterday. It was blown off my head into the Iowa River today. I'm not a happy camper.

That's what you get for having a Neifitar. I hate losing my lucky hat.
