Combo Stickies

I've noticed, and have been rather annoyed with the amount of stickies. The one that ticks me off the most is the amount in Social. There are 6 stickies in that part of the forum.

 

I go to other forums, and what they do is they make one topic which has a some info on each previous sticky, and a link to them... That is called a Combo Sticky.

 

I believe NSBB should do this, and I will say it again, especially in social, because topics drop down so fast (because of the room available on the first page) they go to the second page and get overlooked.

 

Just an example for a Combo sticky for the Social board...

Just a suggestion for the Social board... and maybe even Baseball Discussions. The rest of the parts like Game Threads, etc. have little or no stickies, so thats nothing to worry about.

 

Any comments?

I think that would be good for the Social forum. Not only because there are a lot of stickies there, but there are a lot of recurring threads(the movie thread, long threads for tv shows like Lost or Heroes, what are you listening to thread) that can go a while between active periods.

That is also true. Even though those threads don't have stickies, they should be included in the (potential) Combo Sticky thread.

I'll be a bit officious and request that the NSBB Day @ Wrigley thread be maintained a sticky. I'll unsticky it after the event -- which is only one month away.

I'll work on this. It seems like a good idea and it's easy enough to implement.

I like the new update on the combo. All those threads are good to keep going, but they can all get buried pretty easily. Now I don't have to dig four pages for the LOST thread every Wednesday. Thanks Banedon!
