NSBB shoutout from Mick! Thanks!

He said that they don't keep a running count in Jacksonville, but they do at the home park, so he'll provide it during home games. He noted that Ron Potesta is reknowned throughout the SL and beyond for keeping a running count while doing all of his other broadcasting duties as well! :)

Mick also said that Gallagher's change in speeds -- he was throwing FB, CH & CB tonight -- was "devastating!"

Mick rules. I was hoping to get to listen to Ron as teh Jaxx take on Longoria and the Biscuits, but I have to reload the software through the WNWS site first.

For the record Mick, Ron does the broadcast, keeps the pitch count and hangs out on NSBB during the games (among other things). Ron is cool like that.

3-0 Smokies to the bottom of the 8th.

Chris Walker made a great running catch in CF in the bottom of the 7th. Pigantiello is pitching his second inning of relief.

Sorry, I've had to send a few faxes, which interfered with the play-by-play.

3-0 Smokies to the 9th!!

I'm back. I love living 1 block from the university!

Just in time to hear that the Cubs closed it out with a 8-3 win.

Now 5-2 Round Rock after 4. Round Rock had a 2 RBI single after Mathes walked in the run. Coats threw out the runner that was trying to advance to 3rd, however.

Adalberto Mendez in to pitch the bottom of the 9th for the Smokies.

Leadoff solo shot to Dunlap makes it 3-1 Smokies.

As strange as it is for you guys to say Smokies, it's REALLY strange to not have the Cubs here.. good luck to the Smokies (until they play us of course)

I wish it was sooner than forever until the Smokies visit Jackson
