Prior is "just an employee"

Stone said on 670 yesterday that they just want him to be able to throw 6 innings before he starts at Iowa. So why not have him stretch his arm out in AZ rather than 30 degree Iowa. Stone was actually not his normal Cub bashing self yesterday. He kept talking about Veal and how much of a stud he is going to be.

 

You hear Cub-bashing, I hear honesty.

 

"Honest" or not, I have trouble respecting the opinion of someone who once suggested we trade Aramis Ramirez for Cesar Izturis.

 

I have no trouble at all respecting Stone's opinion on the game of baseball. I don't agree with that statement, but it doesn't mean he is always wrong.

 

He knows the game, I think he went out of his way taking jabs at players and Baker simply b/c his situation with the Cubs went so far downhill towards the end of '04 to the point everyone knew he wasn't back.

 

He went out in a poor way, it's probably not his personality in general and having to deal with all the BS from players like Alou, Mercker, etc. as well as Baker, but he should've handled it better.

 

Nothing to add on this situation.

 

But just had to say I can't stop laughing at your video at the bottom of the post.
