What's the over under?

As a one inning reliever where there are concerns about back to back appearances to start the season? I'll go with 65.

That was kinda my thought...60 ish...I just made a bet with a sox fan...$50 that he'd pitch 50 or more...I felt pretty good about it.

My gut says about 72.

if he really needs a day off between outings, and only pitches 1 inning a game, i think 65 would be pushing it. that would be with no DL visits, too.

 

ETA: last years IP for cubs pitchers- dempster, howry and novoa were the only guys over 70IP from the pen. eyre had 65 and ohman 61. none of them were restricted on use and all pitched on back to back days, iirc.
