He was like 10 feet away from the wall when he started that dive. I'm all for hustle, but that's just asking for trouble. There's a difference between playing hard and playing recklessly. Ask Pete Reiser. I'd be pissed if a Cub outfielder tried that.

And yet it's still better than Plesac rambling incessently about everything. If it were Plesac, he'd have talked about the man-hug for three innings and then bring it up again two innings later prefaced by the comment, "I don't want to belabor the point of the man-hug, but...."
