Gordon feeling a pain in his shoulder.

Link.

A shudder swept through the Royals’ camp Saturday morning when prize prospect Alex Gordon reported sharp pain in his right shoulder after a restless night.

“It was hurting so much that I slept straight up (on my back),” he said. “I tried not to roll on it or anything. I was in a good bit of pain.”

Concerns diminished as the day progressed.

“It feels better now than it did in the morning,” Gordon said as he relaxed on a couch in the clubhouse with his shoulder heavily wrapped after the Royals beat the Cubs 6-5 at Surprise Stadium.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious. No MRI or anything like that. I’m just stretching and icing it.”

Hmm... no MRI eh? I would figure the Royals would want one of their top prospect to be on the safe side and get a MRI.

Hey, better safe than sorry, eh?

Ahh, i forgot they picked up the heavy hitting ross gload to help out at first base as well.

Ryan Shealy will be the everyday 1st baseman. Ross Gload is a bench player...a utility man. He can play outfield and you take what you can get to remove a headcase from your pitching staff...Andy Sisco.
