"I've only seen one guy make the transition from flame-thrower to great pitcher. Frank Tanana."

WHAT??

STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Assuming this guy was around Seattle when Randy Johnson evolved into a great pitcher, that's beyond ridiculous.

Yeah it's not that Wood is throwing great, it's that the pitchers are ahead of the hitters.

That's what happens when you win 66 games the previous year and half the team is either new or coming off injuries-people want to see how they look early, even in meaningless spring training games.

I seriously think Prior is done..He had one great year like alot of pitchers..Then just broke down,I don't think hell ever be a capable Number 1 or 2 starter again.

It's not going to change. Even with lou. We will ALWAYS leave men on base. All o fthe #@%$@#@@ time.

Every team does. The key isn't not leaving guys on base, it's having lots of guys on base so that there's a greater likelihood of having guys on base when they do get the hits.

I think hearing Prior's Velo. being down and having a generally bad 1st outing that has puttin some of us in a bad mood. I know it's just ST. But Prior came out with bad velocity.

I like your optimism, keep up the positive thinking.

Myself, I'll give him more than 30 pitches before making a snap judgment.
