I can't believe the Mariners didn't score. Prior, you lucky dog you.

At least the walks came with 2 out.

25 pitches, 12 strikes for Prior in the first. He missed high with his fastball consistently. They don't have gun readings on the board, so I don't know what the velocity is.

Hey, does anyone know what Prior's velocity looks like?

I don't think anyone has asked yet.

The ball made it over the plate so I'm guessing at least 45 mph.

I'm just happy Prior is actually pitching in spring training and hasn't missed any time. If he's pitching like crap (or not pitching at all) during the regular season, then I'll be upset. Until then I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Not exactly the worst of news considering it's his first ST start. What was his offspeed stuff like?

Thanks, Bruce!
