I know for the past couple years, there has been one thread with updates on what's happening at the Cubs Convention. With it starting today, we might as well get this one going.

I, as well as many others I'm sure, would appreciate any updates from people who listen live on WGN Radio, and of course those who actually attend.

Well I was hoping mine would become the thread, but I will post my last post here. . .

Common guys! It's only a few hours away now! Starting at 7:00 p.m. we will get to hear PAT and RON again! Aren't you ready to hear them again!!

7:00 - Dempster, new Cub Derosa, and Eyre: should be funny

7:30 - Hendry, Piniella (will he promise a WS as he reportidly did at the caravan), Good 'ol radio guys Ron Santo and Pat Hughes (I can't wait to hear what Ron thinks about the 07 Cubs.)

8:00 - Talk to the big bats, Derrek Lee, new cub Alphonso Soriano, and Michael Barret

8:30 - Pitcher talk with Wood, Prior (will he finally contribute again?) , Zambrano, and new cub Ted Lilly

I'll record these if anyone has webspace. However within 24 hours they will probably be available anyway.

Eyre (I think it was) said he started workouts early this year in December.

Wow, that doesnt sound like Eyre...

I know, it honestly doesn't. Who the heck is that? (I wish I could see video cause it doesn't sound like him one bit).

Ohh, I didn't mean like that...I just meant Eyre and working out.

I meant it like it really doesn't sound (like his voice). .

Tim Wilken had Samardzija ahead of Andrew Miller.

JH: Wood in the bullpen (duh). Lou and Larry will get him ready for Opening Day in ST. Been throwing bullpens for a couple weeks. Needs to learn to pitch out of the pen.

JH: Mark Priors been on the mound for the last week. Going well. Theyre optimistic hes going to come to camp healthy.

Woo hoo, love to hear that Theriot will be tried out in center. If Pie is better of in AAA, The Riot could be a great stopgap. And our #2 hitter. :D

Mesa, Boise, Peoria, Daytona all won championships, WT lost in the finals (with Pie hurt) and Iowa finished a game out of the playoffs. Not too shabby.

Holy crap.
