The White Sox are apparently content to send him down to Charlotte next season.

 

I think it is highly unlikely for them to trade him to the Cubs, but he would be a pretty good option at the back end of the rotation, and a cheap one. I think he could give you something similar to what Meche does, but with a lot more potential.

 

Again, I think its highly unlikely. Just throwing it out there though.

He's probably last on their list of trade options regarding their rotation. It may take awhile, but one or more of their starters will probably be traded, which will put McCarthy back in the rotation.
