He's going to take a physical for the Indians and the Indians are thinking about making him their closer.

Link.

Borowski saved 36 games in 43 chances for Florida last season, but when he took a physical last week before signing a two-year deal with the Phillies, a team doctor didn't like what he saw in Borowski's right shoulder. That was the end of the two-year deal.

One team's risk, however, can be another team's Mariano Rivera.

Which is why Borowski is scheduled to come to Cleveland on Tuesday for a physical. It was incorrectly reported in Sunday's Plain Dealer that the Indians already had given Borowski a physical.

Contracts are all about risk. Since there is less risk in a one- year deal than a two-year deal, the Indians may view Borowski's shoulder differently than the Phillies.

Did that article, at least in a roundabout way, compare JoBo to Mariano Rivera?

Yeap. Yeap, it sure did.

Wowza.
