Might as well put this here: the Boise Hawks will keep their name but change their logo.

The Idaho Statesman[/url]"]The team's classic red, white and navy blue "B'' logo has been replaced with burnt orange and dark red lettering with a hawk holding a baseball bat to form a "B."

(AP) ALLENTOWN, PA. The Lehigh Valley’s new minor league baseball team has some competition for their choice of the name IronPigs.

The Texas-based Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club told the team this week that it holds a trademark on its name and plans to take action to force the baseball team to change.

That is such a terrible name to fight over

My personal favorite is the Edmonton Cracker Cats

Are the Quad City River Bandits still around?

Yes, but they got re-named into the Swing of the Quad Cities a couple of years ago, after they made some stadium improvements. It's a very strange logo - a saxaphone with a ball shooting out of it. They are currently the Cardinal affiliate for the Midwest League.
