According to this site off of Fox Sports, Lou wants Alan Trammell as his bench coach. He's torn between the Rockies hitting coach and this.

 

Alan Trammell has told friends he wants to return to baseball in uniform next season, and a new hurdle has emerged in the Rockies' pursuit of him for their vacant hitting instructor position. Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella has extended an offer for Trammell to serve as his bench coach.

Interesting. From a perception standpoint, being the Rockies hitting coach is sort of a no win situation. If your guys hit, it's because of Coors. If you take the Cubs bench job, and they succeed, your name will be hot, but odds are they won't win, and you will be considered part of the losing.

I apologize because I didn't see it had it's own thread. I would think it would still be a no-brainer to Trammell. Us over the Rockies anyday.
