Who will likely end up as Chicago Cubs manager?

I still think McDonough is gonna influence the choice to hire Giardi. He knows the marketing business, and knows Cubs fans would love this.

 

But recently, I'm much more worried that Piniella might take it.

As a GM with managerial backgroun (many don't) he probably thinks much more highly of the manager's spot than most. He probably think it's really important and the number 1 spot of any team.

The thought of getting Girardi doesn't make me happy. I'd prefer Joe to Lou, but I'd rather have Bochy and Brenly to Girardi.

 

I'd probably rather have Washington as well. I'd certainly rather have Dierker or Davey Johnson.

 

I'd also rather have Mills than Girardi.
