I'm not familiar with the posts made by Edward K., but judging by some of the posts that you have made in the past badger, I'd say that you have shown some pretty bad judgement on baseball matters --so you have no credibility with me. This Edward K. is probably not as bad as a person, as you make him out to be. There are alot of insulting things I could say to you badger but I'm not going to stoop down to your level. All I wanted to do is get that off my chest, the way I felt about Baker, but unlike you, I'm ready to move on and focus on what the Cubs need to be successful. I've beeen a Cub fan for almost 45 years, and I've suffered enough. I want to win now!!

Yes, obviously the best way to move on is to be the only person on the board still starting threads about dusty baker as Cubs manager. Perfectly logical.

---Absolutely clueless. Careless, all I was doing was responding to this personal attack made on me by that "Cheesehead" badger. I have a right to defend myself you know. Careless, did you even read the previous posts? I doubt it.

You responded to attacks made on you in this thread by starting this thread in the first place? I must confess, I am clueless as to how that's possible

I think the point was that you're "ready to move on" and "win now" yet starting threads complaining about what wasn't working now being gone.

Pedro I must confess, you lost me. The tail end of your sentence is really confusing to me. "...complaining about what wasn't working now being gone". What does that mean? Anyway, it's okay. Your a Hawk fan, so you have to be a pretty decent person. I'm a 1984 graduate of the University of Iowa. Go Hawks!

Dusty Baker as Cubs manager wasn't working, and you're complaining about him being gone. That doesn't sound like somebody who is ready to move on.

I think that's what he's saying.

Is sweet swinging Billy, Edward K? (that's what I typed)

1) How is that a personal attack? It was a joke actually. But seeing as you don't even get the joke, how would you know it's a personal attack?

2) "Absolutely Clueless" Would be a personal insult towards careless.

3) I'm from Chicago, cheesehead most certainly doesn't apply. Madison was my alma mater.

4) You know you can use the quote button right?

I just want to say that if Sweet Lou does really end up being the next Cubs manager, I wont be happy that Dusty was let go either.

--- I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd get on the Northside Board and see what was new, and low and behold, I see that badger is attacking me for a post, I submitted a couple of days ago. The reason I didn't express my feelings about Baker earlier was because when Dusty's contract was not renewed, I was undergoing Chemotherapy that week...and I really didn't feel like doing anything. As I've said before, my comments were probably based on too much emotion. The reason for this is I'm suffering from colon-cancer and Dusty Baker is a prostrate-cancer survivor, and he has taken time out from his busy schedule, to call me several times, to encourage me to hang in there and not give up. I just blows me away that he would take the time to call a peon like me.

i'm sorry to hear about your illness. God Bless you and i hope you get well soon, you'll be in my prayers and thoughts.

dusty baker being a prostate cancer survivor has nothing to do with how ell he can manage a baseball team, and him calling you to wish you well is no reason to bring him back.

simply because dusty is a nice guy does not mean he knows a lot about baseball, nor is it a reason to trust his judgement on baseball matters.
