I noticed a humorous poll on the baseball section of ESPN. The poll is for the NL MVP and gives a list of players. The humor comes into looking at the flash map for voting broken down state by state. IN 49 states and the map representing the votes coming from outside the US, Ryan Howard is the first place vote getter. In Missiouri, Pujols has a few commanding lead. It may not seem that amusing to anyone else but I got a bit of a chuckle out of seeing this one lone yellow state(the color for Pujols) in a field of green state(Howard's color). If anyone thinks it is a bit lame, just thikn of it as a Cubs fan trying to find something to laugh at to make it through the season.

if people voted for the MVP as the name of the award suggests, Pujopls would win far and away. However, they largely vote for the Most Outstanding Player (Andre Dawson anyone?), which in this case you can argue both, but Howard's HR totals are so gaudy he gets a lot of votes...

Based on the numbers, Pujols should be the MVP. Can't blame Cardinal fans for getting this one right.

Looks like the Cards are going to get a taste of their own medicine this year. Pujols will lose to Howard (DLee lost to Pujols) and Webb will beat Carp (The Rocket lost to Carpenter). Oh well, I only crave a WS title anyway.
