LD strained his hamstring in training for the Azteca game, exacerbated it during the game and hasn't played since.

 

That said...he's been training and is at 85%, and I thought Arena said something about him being close a day or two ago...I suppose it's possible he declined the callup.

That would be a fun lineup. Could easily morph into a 4-5-1.

Jamaica's pure speed up top is worrisome. Boca has to play because his positioning is better than any of the other options, but Cameron better be ready to cover if/when he gets burned.

Good, hard working midfielder with a lot more technical skills than Fellaini, but less physical presence (and more prone to injuries)

You seemed fine with the team wolf posted on Sunday. Two changes were no Bocanegra or Cherundolo, but they were injured, and the others were Edu and Gomez in for Torres and Shea.

 

That being said, I think we'll take care of business on Tuesday pretty comfortably. I'm thinking like 4-1. And if for some reason we don't, like you said, Klinsmann deserves to be fired.

Because Beckerman and Edu are completely redundant, since one is bad and the other is slightly worse. Shea can provide width, which would absolutely be needed if your game plan is to keep shape and hit them on the break, and Torres can at least be a deep lying playmaker. Playing Jones, Edu and Beckerman together is just asking for there to be absolutely no service to the attackers, and asking to be dominated in possession.
