Everyone but Lilly and Hackstedt got a hit today but Mesa is losing 4-2; Anderson drove in the only 2 runs. Holdzkom went 2 and didn't allow any, Castillo went 2.3IP and allowed 4H 3ER. The 4th run was an unearned run off of Astorga.

according to Len on Comcast Rich Hill is starting the AAA all-star game.

Definitely well deserved if that's the case.

Mesa lost 5-2. After Holdzkom's 2 innings, Castillo pitched 2 and a third and was tagged with the loss as he gave up 4 hits, 3 runs, 2 BB's and struck out 1. Astorga pitched 2 and a third giving up 3 hits, 1 run (none earned), 2 BB's, and struck out 3. McCormick pitched the final 2 and a third giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 BB. Parker and Gonzalez each had doubles, Andersen had an RBI single which scored 2. Mesa had 7 hits total and 2 errors.

I think it's gone long enough since the last time we gave a huge thank you to O_O and Raisin for doing this every day. Truly an awesome resource fellas.

No problem, I have a blast doing it. :D

Boise is back at home which means we can watch their games on video feed!

I'm looking forward to see if Colvin has adjusted his swing to the wood bat any, but judging from the stats I'd say he hasn't thus far.

Petrick's 1st inning: Walk, Strikeout (called), Walk, IF single, single to RF (1 run scores), line drive single to Puello (1 run scores), DP ball to get out of it.

I'm starting to wonder if Von Joshua is working hard with Pie on his pitch recognition because he's not hitting but it seems that he is walking almost every game.

Boise up 8-4 after 5.

Boise scored 4 in the 4th thanks in part to 4 errors, a wild pitch and a run-scoring play where the catcher went to visit the mound but forgot to call timeout (Puello ended up scoring).

In the 5th, Canzler hit a 2-run HR, his second of the game.

Petrick's final line: 5 IP, 4 ER, 8 H, 1/2, 2 HBP

Billy ran into some more trouble in the top of the 5th, giving up 2 more runs. It's great to see Petrick hasn't lost that great sinking ability in his FB after the surgery - he racked up the groundballs again today with 10 GO to 3 FOs.
