So as a force of habit I check the score and the Cubs are winning, I trust that will change soon.

Works everytime! I decide not to follow the game, but I check the score and if they happen to be wining, within the next few minutes they blow it. Moral: If i'm not following the game, just leave it be.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ugh. That was so predictable. Not the Cubs losing the lead, but what Marshall was doing.

1) His curve isn't working at all

2) He can't throw his fastball for a strike

So after the first home run, he got shaken up, tried to nibble at the plate, walked a guy, and then (like every time up to that point) when he was in trouble in the count, he throws a changeup and Hafner was just waiting for it.

He can't let those home runs intimidate him and try and nibble at the plate when 2 out of 3 pitches are not working right.

2 BB's and 2 HR's in the last 4 batters...this is getting ugly quickly.

Marshall has been doing a pretty good Glendon Rusch imitation over his last 5 or so starts (other than that one good one against Houston).

He doesn't eat a 6 pack of Twinkies between innings though.
